Black Wax Records finishes expansion downtown Lafayette location

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Before this recent expansion, Brian Ropes, the owner of Black Wax Information in downtown Lafayette, was bursting at the seams with stock.

For the past four years, Black Wax has been running out of 666 1/3 Principal Avenue, which was a somewhat compact spot. And as the store’s collection grew and as a lot more product or service found their way to the ground, the keep started to experience a bit cramped.

Ropes understood that this was an difficulty from the minute he opened.

At the time, all he experienced for sale was his have history selection scattered through the keep in bins. But even then, “I knew I required far more room.”
