You’re IT BeadFreeForever!

Three questions with Marion Unangst, founder of BeadFreeForever

Why did you start your business?

I started my business after visiting a jewelry/accessory store in Cape Cod in 2013. Something caught my eye and gave me an idea – I knew that making my own jewelry line was something I wanted to do.

Best selling product or service?

I have a few but if I have to pick one I’d say my beaded wrap bracelets.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

As for supplies I very often buy from Beadworks, Norwalk (unfortunately their Fairfield location closed a few years back) and Sugarbeads in Ridgefield.

I sell my jewelry at a few stores in Fairfield County and always deliver [my products] in person which gives me the opportunity to look around and support them too! Please see the local businesses below:

KL and Sam in Fairfield

Earth Animal in Westport

Ally Bally Bee Ridgefield

Traveling Chic Boutique in Brookfield, Oxford and New Milford

Pure Poetry in Trumbull

Audrey Road in Ridgefield

Noelle in Stamford

Have you reimagined your small business?

I started my business with one hundred dollars in supplies – hoping people would like my pieces. I still design and create all my pieces in my living room but could not have imagined my jewelry in so many stores (even one in Europe).

Marion Unangst nominates KL and Sam in Fairfield to be featured next. I met one of the owners Sam at a show I did in Westport and they now carry my jewelry. A great boutique with home decor, accessories, and clothing.
